Game challenge

Connect all 25 nodes with zero errors

Can you complete the full challenge?

Connect the circles in alternating order. After a 3-second countdown the clock starts at GO.

How to play

  1. Connect the circles in order, alternating numbers and letters: 1 → A → 2 → B → … → 13.
  2. Tap each circle in turn, or drag through them in one line.
  3. Wrong touches count as errors and are shown as you go: there is no time penalty.
  4. An untimed eight-node warm-up is offered first; you can skip it.
  5. After a 3-second countdown the clock starts at GO.
The Science

Trail Switch is inspired by the Trail Making Test–Part B (TMT-B), which assesses executive function, including the ability to switch between tasks while processing information.

In a 12-week randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled study in adults aged 50–70 with cognitive impairment, a magnesium L-threonate formulation improved TMT-B performance, with a significant overall treatment effect compared with placebo [1].

The researchers also translated performance into an estimated cognitive age, reporting an average 9.4-year improvement from baseline after 12 weeks. This reflects an age equivalent derived from test performance.

Trail Switch is a game inspired by the assessment, not a clinical assessment or diagnostic tool.
